Nearly christmas! I've just finished my xmas profile, which will be uploaded on the 1st december.
Don't know why I sound excited, i'm dreading xmas! I'm gonna be completely skint and I won't be able to buy all the presents I wanted to :(
The only consolation is that I don't have to see my parents this xmas day!

I've been suffering from insomnia lately, so I'm gonna try and pull an all-nighter tonight. I woke up at 10.30 am and i'm gonna try and stay awake until 10.30 pm tomorrow. It's the only way I can think of to reset my body clock. I'm sick of tossing and turning till 3am then having to get up at 7.30am, and being tired all day at work. Luckily, because of what I do, the tiredness doesn't affect me that much, but it's bound to take it's toll sooner or later.
Reckon i'll stay up faffing about on photoshop. I've just made another stamp, for DarkRuby, and it's gotten me back into the mood for creativity. I've also just made a seasonal wallpaper for my up-coming profile change - or maybe i'll use it in my journal for december. Haven't decided yet.
Gav won his first match in the wrestling yesterday! Unfortunately he split his lip open so he couldn't stay and bask in too much glory, but at least he managed to get a few autograph requests before we were ordered to go to A&E by the coach's missis.
I'm now looking forward to getting back into the ring. Last nights show was the first one i've been to in a while and it's given me the taste again. I just kept thinking 'that WILL be me up there one day!'. Although, hopefully, not with a chunk missing outta my lip....

I've just passed a young girl - couldn't be more than 8 years old - wearing high heeled boots, a miniskirt, FISHNETS and a bustier type thing, chatting away on a mobile phone.
Now I don't know about you, but I find that kind of thing disgusting. What's even more appalling is that this child was with her, i'm guessing grandmother, which means she hasn't even sneaked out dressed like that. How the hell can any parent or guardian let their 8 year old out dressed like a two-dollar hooker?
I popped into Mieta's journal when I got home, and saw she'd writtenm about the same kind of thing, on a Tyra Banks show. One line about the show's re-cap struck me:
"Barbie and Bratz dolls should be the only thing on her mind. Her imagination should be running wild with thoughts of ponies and unicorns, instead, her thoughts are filled with images of slim women, and her heart is filled with the desire to be just like them."
this was about an 8 year old girl who'd appeared on the show saying she hated her body. Now, I think the reason for this lies in the paragraph. Barbie. Bratz. These dolls appeal to 8 year old girls. These dolls come with miniskirts, 'grown-up' clothes more suited to teenagers that pre-adolescents. So is it any wonder we're getting these lolitas appearing more and more nowadays?
When I have a daughter we're gonna ground her if she tries going out dressed like a slut before she's 16...

Heehee! I watch way too much Friends.
After watching the episodes surrounding Chandler and Monica's wedding, and Joey getting ordained to perform it, I figured i'd see if you could actually do that.
And you can! I'm now legally entitled to conduct a wedding ceremony!
But I think it's only valid in America...ah well! It's a takling point at parties...

Ironically, the internet is now about the ONLY thing thats working with this new pc! I dunno if it's cos of Vista or what, but I can't seem to transfer all my old files onto it. Which means i've lost everything. All my music, my pictures, my photoshop files, my code snippets, my website pages...Safe to say i'm gutted and fuming at the amount of work i'm gonna have to do to salvage even 40% of my work...

Well, after an oh-so-long absence, I finally got all my PC problems sorted. Of course, it meant I had to get a new PC, and get used to Vista, but at least it's all done now!
My new PC specs comapred to my old ones:
Old: 1.8ghz
New: 3.0ghz
Old:512 RAM
New:1024RAM
Old:60GB HD
New: 250GB HD
Thats the basics anyway, so i've pretty much doubled my power. Which is handy cos it means I can finally run my video editing software. Now all I need to do is find a version of Zonealarm that works on Vista...
